An alternative adapter is provided for using a MakerBot-style plastruder tip on a Mendel. This fits below the extruder stepper assembly. To install, place two M3 nuts in the captive nut sockets and adjust m3 washers as necessary for thermal insulator seating. If your Mendel extruder has a slot for the insulator, insert a section to fill the hole or print a new extruder without this feature.
