Mendel Extruder w/Compression & No Epoxy
thingiverse
This upgraded Mendel Extruder version comes with additional parameters and features a captive nut & bolt to prevent the stepper motor from slipping off the pinch-wheel. To enhance durability, it includes holes for driving two woodscrews through the PTFE instead of epoxy fixation, enabling easy repairs and upgrades without requiring a chisel. The M4x40 screw strengthens the M4 stepper motor adjustment screw, while a cutout allows use of a washer with one mounting screw. Remember to modify the SCAD file for different PTFE diameters. Secure the PTFE rod by drilling 2mm holes through the clamp and fastening with woodscrews; heat the cavity if needed. The mendel_misc.inc file is available at http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2192.
