Situated near Carn Galva in West Cornwall, a standing stone with an inscription on its north face stands tall. The writing, often deciphered as 'RIALOBRANI CVNOVALI FILI', translates to 'Rialobranus son of Cunovalus'. This ancient text is believed to have originated between the 5th and 8th centuries, although it's possible the stone itself dates back to prehistoric times. Today, the monument reaches about 1.7 meters into the sky, but records from 1769 indicate it was once a sprawling structure, measuring nearly three meters long when lying flat on the ground. Approximately one meter of the stone is now hidden beneath the earth. To learn more, visit Pastscape 423713 for additional information.
