Here's a 3D representation of Memphis, USA, using 2019 map data: Roads, railways, land, water, buildings are all made from real-world information. Buildings are accurately placed to closely resemble their real-world counterparts to some extent. Note that randomly added buildings in varying heights exist where actual world data is scarce. This 3D representation features a clean hierarchical organization with proper grouping according to object type. All objects have properly assigned names and materials. A flat, UV-clean map is included, which features most objects' properly unwrapped textures. Some objects, however, feature cubic mapping applied. Buildings were extracted directly from real-world data, but some areas where actual world data was partially unavailable received randomly added structures for missing height details. The scene includes several groups and objects (though parts may be missing based on original data): aerialways, aero ways, aerodrome aprons, taxiways, terminals; barriers; boundaries; buildings with varying styles like apartments, farm houses, hotels, offices, industrial sites, retail shops etc.; highways, motorways, trunk roads, primary roads, secondary roads, tertiary roads, residential streets, living streets, service tracks, pedestrian walkways, bridle paths and steps. Additionally, it features historic structures; commercial areas, construction sites, industrial spaces, residential districts and retail zones. Man-made elements include bridges; while natural scenery includes woods, tree rows, scrubs, heathlands, moor lands, grasslands. The 3D scene also includes various types of railway lines like abandoned, under construction or used railways and a plethora of touristic locations such as boats, harbors and canals. This model allows easy modification by hiding individual layers for better visualization. Its small size ensures it loads quickly in memory. Moreover, the pre-applied unique materials make swapping out textures relatively simple. Map data is generously provided by OpenStreetMap contributors. The scene's units are scaled 1:1, with measurements represented in centimeters. However, keep in mind that this representation lacks elevation information, which means actual bridge heights might not be precise and instead appear randomly shaped due to missing details. But bridges themselves were made as placeholder meshes for the lack of proper data. On the other hand, building shapes can often closely resemble their real-world counterparts where data was readily available. Additionally, while this scene doesn't feature cross bridges or underground passages directly defined by the given bridge data, such features are also straightforward to incorporate manually. Lastly, tree and vegetation details aren't part of this scene due to insufficient information in some areas; however users can quickly populate those gaps with real-world objects using readily available models and texture variations.
