Titled "Memory," this marble sculpture was created by American artist Daniel Chester French between 1886-1887, with revisions in 1909 and execution completed in 1917-19. It measures 57 1/2 x 25 x 42 1/2 inches (146.1 x 63.5 x 108 cm) and is classified as a sculpture. The piece was gifted to the museum by Henry Walters in 1919, and it carries the accession number 19.47. Notably, Jonathan Monaghan captured this artwork using Autodesk 123D Catch at the Metropolitan Museum of Art - New York as part of the Met MakerBot Hackathon in June 2012.
