He worked tirelessly at the V. Kingissepp Estonian Theater in Tallinn from 1941 to 1950, again from 1955 to 1958, and once more from 1964 to 1965. In 1970, Panso rose to become the theatre's principal director. His impressive career also includes founding the Estonian Youth Theater in Tallinn, a position he held from 1965 to 1970.
