The monumental tribute honors the courageous sailors who played a pivotal role at the end of World War I. It features a sturdy base supporting a 20-meter high relief wall, expertly designed by Reinhard Dietrich. The memorial site was inaugurated in 1970 and initially included an exhibition space, but it has remained closed since 1985. https://statues.vanderkrogt.net/object.php?webpage=ST&record=demv136 (English) https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gedenkst%C3%A4tte_revolution%C3%A4rer_Matrosen (German) The model was created from a total of 198 images captured with the Sony a7R III and Zeiss Batis 25mm lenses. The reconstruction process involved RealityCapture, Meshmixer, and Blender software. Unfortunately, it was challenging to accurately reproduce all the vegetation in front of the memorial due to gentle wind currents causing slight movement. Additionally, the area consisted mainly of thin objects, which presented an obstacle for photogrammetry. Google Maps: https://bit.ly/38F8G89
