This is a Melzi Board holder designed to move the board further out to gain extra height on the Huxley RepRap. The Melzi Board is a compact all-in-one controller board for RepRaps with one extruder head, optimized for mass production and designed to be very cheap to make in large quantities. The goal of RepRap is to create itself, but many people prefer plug-and-play RepRap electronics so they can focus on the machine's other aspects or because they are more interested in software or mechanics than electronics. Melzi is a complete set of RepRap electronics that should be easy and affordable to mass produce. RepRap is humanity's first general-purpose self-replicating manufacturing machine, taking the form of a free desktop 3D printer capable of printing plastic objects. Since many parts of RepRap are made from plastic and RepRap prints those parts, RepRap self-replicates by making a kit of itself - a kit that anyone can assemble given time and materials. RepRap Version III "Huxley" is being developed, based on Ed's original Mini-Mendel design combined with work already done by ErikDeBruijn and others. Huxley is named after Thomas Henry Huxley, a biologist like all RepRaps.
