This Support Free Melzi Board Case lets you mount your Melzi wherever you want using the extended legs. By attaching these legs to a surface, you can remove the case when working, saving you from having to take out the board itself and thereby decreasing its risk of getting damaged. The raised spacers inside completely insulate the board from the mounting surface. The case also has large openings for all connections - printer, LCD, SD and USB - which makes installation a breeze. The lids on this case are designed to prevent you from accidentally bumping the board or pulling on any of its connections. Since I have a fan right above my board, it's not a problem for me, but do keep in mind that cooling is a factor. There's just one small section of bridging, but most printers should be able to handle it without any issues.
