Melville Point's NSW south coast displays a visibly distorted series of deep-sea cherts and turbidites that make up the Wagonga Beds. The folds are tightly packed, standing upright and generally dipping gently to the southward direction. This model forms part of the northeast-facing section of the headland - viewed from an initial angle looking approximately due south.
