Melting boxes
thingiverse
Here is a 3D scan of a plastic box being melted, showing its transformation from a rigid container to a molten liquid as it undergoes thermal decomposition. The scan reveals the box's molecular structure breaking down into smaller fragments, releasing gases and vapors as it heats up. As the temperature increases, the polymer chains that hold the box together begin to unwind and lose their strength, causing the material to soften and become more pliable. The 3D scan captures the moment when the plastic box reaches its melting point, at which point it begins to flow like a liquid, losing its shape and form.
