Melted PLA Scrap-ART
thingiverse
Transform your PLA scraps into masterpieces! Start by preheating your oven to 210 degrees Celsius, then lay aluminum foil on a baking tray and arrange your largest scrap parts on it. To create unique shapes, use filament to make an outer ring if desired - think PLA pizza. Bake for about 15 minutes, then scatter smaller parts onto the tray and continue heating at your preferred temperature (try 160 degrees for softer results). Incorporate ABS parts for interesting shrinking effects. Keep a close eye on your creation and remove when desired, allowing it to cool before trimming to size using oven gloves. Get creative with shapes or cut out intricate designs within the five-minute cutting window, or reheat for easier shaping. Share your artistic PLA masterpieces and have fun!
