Meissner Tetrahedron - Solids of Constant Width

thingiverse

Meissner Tetrahedon is an object with 4 faces that are convex. The width of the object across any line that passes through its center is always the same. This gives it the ability to roll like a sphere even though is it not. 3 of the edges of the shape must be "shaved down" a little bit to make it a true object with constant width. I uploaded two variations of the Meissner object, Type 1 has the 3 altered edges share a common vertex. Type 2 has the 3 altered edges share a common face. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reuleaux_tetrahedron https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cUCSSJwO3GU
