Otodus megalodon, also known as Carcharocles megalodon, is a colossal Miocene-Pliocene saltwater shark that ruled the ocean's depths. A fossilized tooth of this gargantuan predator was unearthed in Aurora, North Carolina at the Aurora Phosphate Mine. To uncover the intricate details of this ancient treasure, an Artec Spider scanner was employed to meticulously scan the fossilized remains.
