The history is as longs as 300 million years and it has been registered through the succession and great variety of fossils, minerals and rocks. Thousands of metres of soil are covered with marine remains including marine fossil, various types of marine sediments, algae remains, corals, seashells and other organisms that helped with the creation of the Dolomites walls.
