If you're like me and have enthusiastically added MBI products such as filament spindle boxes, you might have encountered the hassle of de-stacking your bot and top spindle box just to change filaments from the bottom box. To address this issue, here are a few budget hacks for easier horizontal spool management: remove four top tabs from the acrylic front door, take out two left and right side tabs, store lower M3 bolts, and wind nuts up on top bolts to create handles. Securely slot the modified door and reinforce it with side bolts. Additionally, try a spool plate and adapter to expand your spindle box filament options, mount extra MBI 2-pound spool holders on your bot, and install spool guards for clearance.
