I didn't find large reels (spools) for my filament extruder. So I decided to design one myself. Without a center hub, the original 2.5 Kg of 3mm filament had to be accommodated. With a central joint that can hold up to 5 kg, support is included for spooling. Files are added to allow simple Nema 17 motors to wind the reels. This setup works perfectly on my extruder. You'll need a big printer to implement this design, and maybe you should consider building one !
