Mega Charizard Y, a game-changing evolution of Charizard, makes its debut in Pokémon X & Y. By combining Charizard with the exclusive Charizardite Y Mega Stone found only in Pokémon Y, trainers can unlock Mega Evolution and unleash this fearsome new form. A striking visual makeover reveals an even more formidable appearance, while a significant boost to Special Attack capabilities further solidifies Mega Charizard Y's status as a force to be reckoned with. Its coveted Drought ability creates a persistent strong sunlight that amplifies Fire-type attacks and hinders Water-type attacks. Revealed internationally on September 4th during the second Pokémon Direct, alongside Mega Venusaur and Mega Blastoise, Mega Charizard Y stole the spotlight.
