I designed this because I was fed up with the spool holder folding completely on me when I'm trying to switch spools, which causes it to pop off its base and almost fall apart entirely. This keeps the arms open so you can more easily swap in a new spool. My only concern is if you're using really small diameter spools. It should work for any normal-sized spools. Print two of each. Pay close attention to the notch widths to see how to install them properly.
