mega 2560 + ramps 1.4
thingiverse
Hello everyone! This enclosure I designed is initially intended for one of my projects and to replace the board of my Anet A8 (which is malfunctioning) with a Mega 2560+ Ramps1.4. Therefore, I do not guarantee compatibility with Ramps 1.5 or later versions. The enclosure has two places for 50*11 fan holders (my fans are 10.5mm thick to cool the transistors and drivers) and a wide opening to put an extension card (replication) on the sensor and endstop connectors (opening of 30mm) and a compartment for cables, and two openings for cable inputs. The two Anet A8 sides are identical, so there are three points of fixation at the original holes' axes (power supply) to fix it on the side in place of the Anet card. Fixation by 2 or 3 M3 screws (at your discretion), the screws are not under the printed circuit boards, so there is no risk of short circuits. The assembly has been tested. The cap closes by sliding and can be closed with a 3mm wood or plastic screw. Unless modifying your machine, the enclosure passes between the side and the X-axis motor, and there is no need for spacers between the side and the enclosure. The Arduino card and fans are not fixed; they are maintained in cage-like effect by making them slide. The cap blocks the arm that holds the fans, even without the cap screw. It may be necessary to lengthen some cables. I printed it in PETG, but the PLA should still be quite flexible for the placement of a second fan.
