I designed this bracket specifically for my UM2 clone build, using a tall mount configuration. I'm not a fan of the mega bracket that comes with the UM2 collection I'm utilizing - it severely limits airflow, resulting in extremely slow print times, and is unnecessarily over-engineered. This alternative design places the USB connector at a height that clears the aluminum frame of my clone when paired with a 6mm/0.25in bottom panel. The bracket features pilot holes that are either 2mm or 2.5mm in diameter. These can be easily drilled out and tapped to accommodate any final screw size you prefer. Although the Mega board's standard hole size is 3.2mm, I've found that M2.5 screws work perfectly with both of my Mega boards (all holes). The 2.5mm version, as well as the tall version, can be secured using M2.5 threaded screws without any modifications required. The tall version measures 16mm in height, while the other versions stand at 12mm. A unique feature of the tall version is an additional mount specifically designed for a DC-DC converter bracket.
