Meet Mat 2 - Barometer Mat

This was an incredibly enjoyable project to dive into and the most money I've ever invested in a texture.\nI knew I wanted to push myself in two areas, texturing with fabric and texturing with damp surfaces, hence Barometer Mat was the ideal selection. I've also recently played through the Bioshock series and that may have been an unconscious influence as well. I knew I wanted a character that was more foreboding than adorable, hence Mat's a small weatherman who warns us through his cracked screen that a storm is on its way. At one point I felt ambitious and did consider working with some awesome kraken tentacles wrapping around him, and it's entirely possible, but I couldn't have created all the alphas in time.\nI'm excited to see everyone's submissions.
