Update: 2019/01/12: Refined the shape and size of the "ears". They now closely resemble the original design. Please give them a try and share your feedback in the comments! My wife's insulin pump clip has been consistently breaking at the hinge hole, and replacement costs are steep at 10 Euros in Germany. That's 10 Euros for a poorly designed clip made from cheap plastic. So I decided to create one for her. Even if it breaks faster than the original injection-molded version, it's much less expensive and quicker to replace. Thingiverse offers several clips from other users, but I found that they have made the hinges too weak. Furthermore, most of them try to replicate the hook at the end of the clip. We believe this hook serves no purpose if you attach the pump to your waistband, as some sort of friction resistance is needed. My solution works well and makes the clip thinner, so it bothers less. Additionally, this design can be printed without any support. My suggestion is to smooth out the corners of the print to make it more comfortable on bare skin. If you have ideas for further improvements, please let me know. Your opinion on this design and suggestions for making it better are appreciated.
