Medium Dog Camera Harness
thingiverse
I wanted to outfit my dog with a Roly Action Camera, and I found item 1001901. It was love at first sight; I printed it out and it worked perfectly, but I had some ideas to make it even better. First, I wanted to adjust the straps so they didn't cross over each other. Second, I thought adding a fast-release buckle would be a great idea. Third, a second mount on the chest seemed like a smart move. In my first attempts, I sewed the straps, which worked amazingly well, but later I realized that using small buckles was a much easier way to try out different types of straps – normal and elastic ones. To print the harness itself, back, and chest, stand them up as shown in the picture; you'll need to add raft support. The female strap buckle required additional support too. This harness is designed for 1-inch (25 mm) straps, but I use normal straps around my dog's neck and under its chest. The long strap around the chest is an elastic one that tends to slip out of the lock, so I added another buckle there. I made a short video with the camera; you can watch it here: https://youtu.be/N4cUMCP71E0. Without deshaking, you'll get seasick! Here's another one: https://youtu.be/2wxYcElcCgY. If I could make a suggestion or add-on, I'd love to see the movies you create with "my" thing and some photos of your dogs too.
