This is part of a series of 30 exercises created during the 3D4KIDS program. One of the main goals of this Erasmus+ program is to enhance teachers' knowledge of 3d printing technology by developing targeted training materials. For more information, visit https://www.3d4kids.eu. The lesson focuses on designing and printing a 3D map of Mediterranean islands to accurately grasp their geographical position and location. It will also help students learn the size of some of the largest islands in the Mediterranean region, their territorial composition, as well as their differences and similarities. The identified Mediterranean islands are Sicily and Sardinia from Italy, Cyprus from France, and Corsica. This exercise will not only improve understanding of the 3D printing techniques but also help students visualize geographical concepts.
