Medieval wooden motte castle with keep and ditch Low-poly 3D model

Low-poly recreation of a medieval wooden motte castle from early 11th century. A widespread type of castles throughout northern Europe during the middle ages between 9th and 12th centuries, found in France, Germany, Denmark, Poland, and Britain. This particular motte has a relatively flat mound with approximately 2 meters in height above the water level, although some exceeded up to 30 meters in height. The majority of mottes range from 5 to 10 meters high. In most cases, the motte is not a standalone structure but rather accompanies an enclosed courtyard, known as the "motte-and-bailey castle." The bailey can easily be added to the model by using parts of the existing palisade and aligning them along a spline if needed.
