Late Medieval (14th Century) Copper-Gilt and Champlevé Enamel Plaque or Morse from England's Warden Abbey. \nThe circular plaque, with a border in the form of angels, features a central crucifix in high relief. St John and the Virgin are depicted within branches that spring from the cross, set against a blue enamelled ground adorned with letters and two croziers. This remarkable piece is British Museum object 1853,0607.2, with its full record accessible at http://bit.ly/2hghrxv. The scale background used in this model was created by Jennifer Wexler, marking the first version of this intricate design. A fuller model will follow.
