sketchfab
The discovery of this Jewish ritual bath dates back to around the mid-13th century. A Jewish community thrived in England from 1066 until its expulsion in 1290. This mikveh was unearthed on a construction site in the City of London in 2001. It was built within the residence of the Crespin family, who were part of the local Jewish community during the medieval era. The family likely used it for private prayer or to prepare themselves for public worship.
