This is a Medieval Catapult, also known as a mangonel, with wooden beams held together by iron wraps and rivets. The tension wrapped ropes hold the lever arm firmly in place, while the back ropes are spun to pull the arm down rapidly. The catapult's basket is crafted from an iron frame. While not as advanced as the trebuchet, this siege engine outperforms the ballista in terms of effectiveness. I assume so, anyway. Visually speaking, it appears sturdier than its ballista counterpart, although I'm no expert. Made with Blender 2.8 This model forms part of a larger Siege Engine collection. Important Info This model is being sold as part of separate collections at varying prices. Features: 2 models - high-poly, medium-poly, and low-poly; Vertex Count - (93,220) (24,349)(19,195) Texture Maps: Includes UV-Wrapped, UVs that overlap significantly, making them easy to work with. Modifying the UVs may be required if new textures are applied. Also included: very basic Texture Map and Specular Map. This model has been roughly scaled down from its real-world equivalent (9.5ft./2.9m.) and might need resizing to fit requirements. Each file contains the complete model, broken up into individual parts; the original .blend file remains available with each piece connected separately.
