Medieval archivolt 1 of the Church El Salvador

Medieval archivolt belonging to the Church of El Salvador (Cifuentes, Spain) dates back to the thirteenth century. This stunning example of medieval architecture is part of the Portico de Santiago, located within the parish church of El Salvador in Cifuentes, Spain. The image clearly depicts two human figures who are undoubtedly Saint Paul holding a sword and Saint Peter grasping a book and the keys to Heaven. We extend our gratitude to the Diocesan Delegation of Cultural Heritage of Guadalajara for their generous provision of facilities. Special thanks go to the cultural delegate Mr. Miguel Ángel Ortega Canales, whose interest in the project is truly appreciated.
