As the COVID-19 pandemic hits Hong Kong, the government's handling of the situation has been a disaster. The ruling party has disregarded the opinions of medical professionals and ignored common sense. While neighboring regions have implemented lockdowns, provided masks to citizens, and encouraged mask-wearing, the Hong Kong government has refused to lock down the border and allowed mainlanders to enter through various channels, while also publicly advising people not to wear masks. The government's incompetence has put medical professionals in a desperate situation. In response to the shortage of equipment, a team of designers has developed a 3D-printed eye shield using open-source technology. The shield is designed to be compatible with existing eye shields used by medical professionals and can be easily assembled and disassembled for cleaning. We have also provided transparent plastic templates (PDF and DXF formats) that can be printed on 0.1mm-0.2mm thick plastic film or transparency sheets, allowing users to create their own eye shields in two different sizes: standard and full-face protection. The Hong Kong Democracy Goddess Statue team consists of professionals from various fields who have been supporting the anti-government movement over the past six months. The team includes artists, 3D printing designers with experience, 3D printing volunteers, and sculpting teams, as well as many other industry experts who have taken on roles such as logistics, propaganda, and public relations. In light of the current challenges, we are again using our professional knowledge and experience to support front-line medical professionals.
