Media Center Case for RemotePi Board
thingiverse
This is a reworked version of Vitoveras's excellent media center case designed specifically for the Raspberry Pi. The original design struck me as refreshingly simple, with neatly routed cables all flowing in one direction. Just when I finished installing the RemotePi Board on my RPI3, I needed a new case that would accommodate it perfectly. I decided to remix this one, adapting it to work seamlessly with the RemotePi Board. To do so, I added a hole at the top of the case for the RemotePi Board's button and increased its height slightly, ensuring the top aligns perfectly with the button. Since my RemotePi Board boasts an extended IR receiver, I drilled another hole in the case to route those wires out the front. Additionally, to cater to my penchant for overclocking my RPI3, I integrated a 40mm fan mount into the design. Other than these modifications, the core of the case remains Vitoveras's ingenious creation. When printing the top, I preserved the hold-down clips in their original positions. It wasn't until later that I realized one clip would interfere with the RemotePi Board; to resolve this issue, I filed it down slightly on my top so it fits comfortably around the board. For those who might face a similar problem, I've included an STL file relocating the clip to avoid any conflicts. As for me, my case works beautifully without this modification, and I'm more than satisfied with the final result. Thanks are due to Vitoveras for crafting such a sleek and functional design – it's truly a masterpiece!
