MeCreator2 Belt Tension Stabilizer
thingiverse
Hi guys!\nI recently heard that 3D Printers with belts tensioned by springs are prone to print artifacts due to the belt's changing tension when motors switch directions.\nTo investigate this claim, I spent some time designing these brackets today.\nFor the Geeetech MeCreator2, you'll need to print two of them and use a total of four small zip ties.\nThe brackets are designed to span the spring tensioner on the X, Y axis belts.\nThey should be secured in place using two small zip ties per side where the grooves are located on each bracket.\nWhile this design is intended for the Geeetech MeCreator2, I see no reason why it wouldn't work with other printers that use a similar tensioning system.\nCheck out my video for this model at https://youtu.be/Rpw-G5YlMEM\nI'd like to thank Bastien for his help; his original design inspired the two ends of this bracket.\nPrint Settings\nPrinter: \n Geeetech MeCreator2\n \n Rafts: \n Doesn't Matter\n \n Supports: \n No\n \n Resolution: \n 0.15\n \n Infill: \n 30%\n\nHow I Designed This
