Mechwild Murphpad custom plate - oled 22.5 tilt

<p>I wanted to be able to see my oled over the knob of the encoder on my Murphpad so I designed this custom plate. As of Mar-3-2022 , I've provided 3 stl models:</p><ol><li>Mechwild Murphpad oled 22-5deg - stock : replica of FR4 plate but with 22.5 deg support</li><li>Mechwild Murphpad oled 22-5deg - my specific layout.stl : modified plate layout for my own use , as depicted in the photos</li><li>Mechwild Murphpad 22-5 deg oled support : This fits under the oled to provide support. It can also be used as a guide for positioning the oled during soldering.&nbsp;</li></ol><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Basic instructions:</p><p>NOTE: These instructions should be used in conjunction with the full assembly instructions from Mechwild for the Murphpad.&nbsp;</p><ol><li>Choose and print a plate layout ( remix if desired to fit your specific use-case )</li><li>Print the oled support.</li><li>Bend the 4 pin header that attaches the oled to the PCB. You will need approx 22 degs. The through holes allow for some tolerance so it doesnt have to be exact. I suggest you use the oled support as a guide for the angle. See pic.</li><li>Solder header to PCB.&nbsp;</li><li>Solder oled to header. Again, I suggest using the support piece to tailor the angle and help hold the oled angle while soldering.</li><li>Leave the oled support piece in position. It is a loose fit and just sits on the PCB with no attachments.&nbsp;</li><li>Place your plate onto the assembly and insert your switches as you would have if following the directions from Mechwild.</li></ol><p>&nbsp;</p><p>If you are mill maxing your switches, <strong>I highly suggest you ratify the plate to match the specific switch layout</strong>, notably any switches grouping of 1u keycaps around the cutouts meant to allow for the 2u keycaps with stabs. Mill max relies on the lip from the plate to hold the switch in position. The switches in those areas may not fit snuggly and wobble out of position if you use the generic plate design . YMMV.&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p>
