As we tackle the challenge of designing a mechanical ventilator, our initial thoughts naturally gravitate towards the core component that sets everything in motion: the engine. Drawing inspiration from the sleek design of a flat engine, our prototype takes on a similarly streamlined appearance with a prominent crankshaft at its center - rest assured, no turbocharger will be added to this iteration. Capable of providing critical support to up to four individuals simultaneously, this ventilator boasts intuitive controls and an unobtrusive compact design that makes it easy to handle in emergency situations. A discreet screen on top keeps users informed with vital information at a glance. Furthermore, our open-source approach ensures collaboration and adaptation can thrive. Crafted from both plastic and metal, the ventilator's structure is brought to life through 3D printing (M&P) technology.
