Mechanical Tentacle Arm

Mechanical Tentacle Arm

thingiverse

This mechanical tentacle glove was created for a Halloween costume and is controlled by pulling wires with fingers to flex the tentacle. Although it looks creepy, picking up objects with it isn't great, possibly because I need more practice. To assemble this device, you will require: - 5 M3 bolts approximately 12mm long - 1m of 1.6mm wire rope - Super Glue - 2 dowels each 16cm long and 5mm in diameter Instructions: Print everything out. The connector pieces are glued to the square end, freely rotating on the rounded end. Each "vertebra" is numbered, with bumps on the connectors that line up with those numbers. For example, vertebra number 3 is glued to the connectors with three bumps. Note: The cuff part designed for my hand, which is approximately 9cm across the palm, may need modification to fit your hand.
