Mechanical Sun Dial Watch
pinshape
This project was sparked by eddsters sundial watch on Thingiverse, specifically https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1206644. The links, clasps, and modified body of maker bots watch https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:30414 were used as inspiration. To operate properly, a spring is required, which was sourced from an old pen I had on hand. The dial is optimized for individuals living in California near the 33.9 parallel. Print Settings: A silver model printed at 1.5 scale can be seen in the accompanying pictures. However, it appears slightly oversized to me, and I recommend printing at a .x1.25 scale instead. Support material is necessary for the spring catch and button level that presses against it. The body and other parts print without support when positioned correctly, except for the default setting which I failed to adjust properly.
