Mechanical Ring

Hello, My name is Roham Moradifard. I am a student at Arak University in Iran studying mechanical engineering. I'm fascinated by things that reflect my future profession, so initially, I set out to redesign something familiar like a coin or dice. The movie Hunter-Killer inspired me to design a coin, but I didn't want to repeat myself; instead, I aimed for something new and exciting. That's when I decided to create a ring. Next, I watched several videos on YouTube, where I discovered concepts for rings featuring lights and electrical components like diodes. One video showcased a man crafting his ring using a lathe tool, which led me to choose stainless steel as my material of choice and incorporate small screws and gears as mechanical elements. To protect these parts, I opted for resin. After coming across this challenge on GrabCad a few days later, I decided to redesign the project to make it compatible with 3D printing, specifically removing some threads from the screws to prepare it for the FDM method.
