Mechanical Pencil Lead Sleeve
thingiverse
This year at community college, my CAD course demands we make numerous pencil drawings to become familiar with drafting standards and layout, rather than solely relying on CAD software for making our drawings. I have an abundance of mechanical pencil lead scattered around in its original packaging, which I acquired from the store. Unfortunately, all the "colored" leads were mixed together, requiring me to separate them. As a result, I needed several sleeves to store my pencil lead. Initially, I planned to create round sleeves, but I eventually decided that square designs would stack more efficiently if stored inside a small storage box, and this solution worked perfectly for me. The top is simply secured with a pressure fit, providing just the right amount of snugness to keep it in place.
