Mechanical Paul trap
thingiverse
The saddle surface should be attached to a motor that can spin it with a frequency of at least 1-4 Hz. Then this becomes a mechanical Paul trap that can trap balls with preferably a diameter of between 1-4 cm from roughly 3 Hz and upwards. motor_converter and support_nema23 can be used if attaching the saddle surface to a Nema 23 type stepper motor.
