Similar to version 1, featuring an adjustable tension pulley, version B presents a unique functionality. When the pulley is pressed against the belt to reduce excess length, motion is successfully transmitted from one large pulley to another. Conversely, when the pulley is not engaged, the slack belt does not transmit motion.
