Mechanical Keyboard Spacer for 2011 MacBook Air
prusaprinters
I use a GK61 mechanical keyboard as a travel board with my 2011 MacBook Air. I found, however, that when resting the GK61 on top of the MacBook, the rubber feet on the bottom of the GK61 would press down on and activate the MacBook's keys. To prevent this, I designed these spacers. I typically rest the GK61 near the bottom of the MacBook, so that it covers the MacBook's trackpad. I therefore only need two spacers: one for bottom-left and one for the bottom-right. If you instead rest your mechanical keyboard at the top of the MacBook, so that it covers the entirety of the MacBook's keyboard, you may need more spacers. N.B. I've only tried this solution with my 2011 MacBook Air. I'm not sure whether it will work with other MacBooks or other notebook computers. Category: Electronics
