American-grade plywood 3 millimeters thick proved to be a better choice than acrylic for this project. Although I experimented with acrylic initially, I found it challenging to assemble due to its fragile nature. In contrast, plywood offers greater stability and is easier to work with. However, acrylic does give the toy a more visually appealing appearance.
