Mechanical Counter

Mechanical Counter

thingiverse

This is a fully functional 3D printable mechanical counter system. The increment function isn't perfect but the numbers scroll up without issues. Not extremely difficult to print it, however you may need to smooth down parts for nice gear meshing. Short Video I would like to note that the STL files I uploaded here are slightly different from what I printed but should still work properly. Instructions The intention is to have the button increment one digit at a time and have the jogKnob, when pressed, turn the numbers in either direction. The jogKnob works great but the button needs further development. You need to print TWO carry gears and all other components in duplicate. The three number wheels require some kind of support mechanism and possibly the case and cap as well. The button spring component may not print exactly as it looks in the STL file due to a mesh problem, but that is likely an improvement in any case. I have corrected the jogKnob file on July 26th, 2015, because some slicers were slicing it as one solid piece.
