Mechanical clock to go up
cults3d
Hello everyone! Take a look at this mechanical clock with visible gears. The base is made of wood while the axes and pendulum are crafted from aluminum and steel. The weight is lead but any material will work; it just needs to weigh about 2.5kg. All the gears, the system for lifting the weight, the crank, the escapement, the rake, the wedges, the dial, and the hands are printed in 3D. Everything is printed with PLA but ABS works too. The current battery life is 24 hours for a drop of about 1m50, but I aim to increase it to 10 days. The center of gravity of the pendulum should be roughly 1 meter from the top of the pendulum for a mass under 500g. This clock was designed to be made of wood; I found the 2D drawings on the website www.woodenclocks.co.uk and then modified several pieces and some of them. #DAGOCULTS The plan is included and is particularly useful for the base (which can't be printed) and final assembly. If you have any questions, feel free to leave a comment.
