Mechanical AND logic gate
thingiverse
The creator of the video has not found a suitable mechanical AND gate online, so he decided to make one himself. He aimed for a clockless design that could work in real-world scenarios. This is his first attempt at creating this specific gate; while it generally functions as intended, there are occasions when it can stick. To loosen up the parts after printing, the gate needs to be cycled for 5-20 minutes. The creator used a Replicator 2 with 0.3mm PLA filament to print the gate and added two small springs from mechanical pens and a rubber band as extra components. A tutorial on how to build this gate is available in a separate YouTube video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nAFHfevEbqs).
