Mechanical 7 Segment Display
thingiverse
Was kind of surprised how well this worked after printing and assembling. I redesigned a portion of the cam in Tinkercad to change how the digit 7 is shown. The change eliminates the top left vertical section of the number seven that was included in the original design. I slightly enlarged the center hole diameter to 2.9mm (as well as all the holes of the parts) for a slightly thicker shaft I had on hand, and I also split the cam into 2 shorter sections as I aways seem to have trouble with really tall prints. I slid both halves onto the shaft and just made sure they lined up correctly before gluing them together with a little super glue gel (the bottom half is the one with the gear on top).
