Ramen is the Japanese hamburger that fuels everyday life for working men everywhere. It's a deeply ingrained ritual, as Tony Pham, owner and creator of Mecha, so eloquently put it when introducing me to his visionary concept. Phrases like this one, combined with Pham's razor-sharp creative focus, steered our design process toward the humble yet remarkably versatile 2X4 – a fundamental building block in American timber construction that bears an uncanny resemblance to noodles. Our design for Mecha Noodle Bar drew inspiration from these simple yet powerful elements, transforming 2X4s into sculptural tools that became the centerpiece of our proposal. We're proud to have brought this concept to life and are now thrilled to be working on each subsequent Mecha location as they continue to expand. Our goal remains unchanged: to build upon the intrigue of our initial design without sacrificing its modest yet powerful essence. With five successful locations under our belt, we're thoroughly enjoying our collaboration with the passionate team at Mecha!
