The human body is made up of approximately 60 trillion cells that work together to keep us alive and functioning properly. Our bodies are constantly repairing and replacing damaged or old cells to maintain optimal health. Cells are the basic building blocks of life, and they come in many different types. There are nerve cells that send and receive signals through electrical impulses, muscle cells that contract and relax to move our muscles, and blood cells that carry oxygen and nutrients throughout our bodies. The human body is made up of many different systems that work together to keep us alive. The circulatory system transports blood throughout the body, the digestive system breaks down food into energy, and the nervous system sends signals to and from the brain. Cells in the human body are constantly dividing and growing, with some cells living for only a few days while others can live for many years.
