The model's design is heavily influenced by the Robot Assembly Gantry available on miniaturescenery.com, which offers an impressive selection of vehicles and scenery kits for sale. Please note that this model is modular, allowing it to be easily broken down into major assemblies for transportation, and uses minimal or no supports during printing. This approach saves time and plastic. However, the finished product may not be a masterpiece. Some areas appear janky, and certain parts will require sanding to fit properly. The tower panels were initially designed to use tiny bits of filament for alignment but proved unnecessary in practice. To achieve a realistic look, a heavily rusted paint job is highly recommended due to the lack of surface detail. Keep in mind that many parts need to be mirrored to complete the kit, and it's up to you to determine how many of each part are required and in what orientation. Files marked with "-Support" should be printed with supports, while the rest can print without them. Feel free to experiment with different designs, such as varying tower heights or gantry configurations. A 2mm or 1/16" drill is highly recommended for aligning and pivoting holes, as printing without supports can sometimes result in sloppy holes. Please don't be surprised if a flawed file accidentally makes it into the set. Feel free to ask questions, and I'll do my best to add photos, descriptions, or fix parts as needed. Updates include replacing the Gantry-TowerBaseSocket-Supportv2.stl file on 5/15/19 and adding the entire model as a single file at your request on 1/9/20. Do not print this file without modifications. If you're inclined to show your appreciation, tips are always welcome.
